RG colour blindness★ starred

What is red-green colour blindness? (Distinguish between cones and rods, specifically where they are found in the eye; distinguish their functions using photopic, scotopic, colour, central and peripheral vision; define RG colour blindness in terms of the “inability to observe certain light frequencies”.)

CCC vs RRR · GLMT

Cones see Colour, Centrally, in Clear light. Rods see Rubbish (grey), in the Room's dark, Round the edges. RG: Green Light Means Test.

Conescolour, central, good light, detailed; photopic; fovea = only cones

Rodsgrey scale, more sensitive, dim light; scotopic, peripheral

GGenetic defect of the retina's cones

LL cones faulty (red, long wavelength)

MM cones faulty (green, medium wavelength)

TTest: colour-blindness test detects it

💡 Photo = light = cones. Scoto = dark = rods. Macula has both.
